Sometimes Steles are doing piercing damage rather than the death damage they should. Or at least the message is suggesting they are

When a pet hits someone with full damage immunity, they will switch to their secondary damage type. They will then stay in their secondary mode until they either hit someone immune to that, or an AP tick happens.
It looks like you were fighting a NC, which has adaptable damage immunity. So, your Stele hit them with Death while they were immune to Death, and it switched to its secondary damage type. I assume that's piercing.

They hit and encountered immunity to Death, then switched to Piercing.
It looks like you were fighting a NC, which has adaptable damage immunity. So, your Stele hit them with Death while they were immune to Death, and it switched to its secondary damage type. I assume that's piercing.

Interesting!! I've had a lot of Steles but never caught that they had a secondary damage type! Maybe this should now be a note about how the Netherworld Steles don't have an entry on the big pet table!!

In general, anything that isn't a very, very basic pet (like un-upgraded imps or sprites) is going to have a secondary.

Thinking of Rev pets and secondary damage wolves not having a secondary damage type does feel a little odd to me given that overview of only the most basic of pets not having one. Largely only relevant to setting a pack of wolves on an adaptation NC though.

Good point, that feels like an omission. Wolves now have a 7-point impact secondary.
