QoL - Remembering Writing Implement

With or without the "Remember First Charged Attack" and "Remember Second Charged attack" settings enabled in Character Settings, the writing implement frustratingly defaults to my 436 boring sticks of red chalk. I don't want to jettison, Namm knows I'll get into that rotten stuff pretty soon. But in the meantime I'd rather use something, anything else.

Writing Implement could just plain be remembered by default. It could be a Character Setting you enable. It could be enabled when you check off Remember First Charged Attack! The options are wide open here for interpretations.
