When my wasps are spawned they display as passive, behave something like defensive, and should be aggressive. The big change dates back to around when lightspeaker end game was introduced, but pets got so wonky for a bit I just bignored it.
I have screens but on mobile so it's hard to add th m. In a nutshell here is my character's morning:
Respawn in Styg.
Find and antagonize an imp.
When it hit me for 5, one wasp popped out.
It displayed as passive in the pet list and did not immediately attack the imp.
When the imp hit me again the wasp killed it.
I found another imp and hovered over it for a minute, no wasp action.
I found a player character and hovered, no action.
I hit the player character and the wasp didn't take the hint.
Some minutes later I finished off the PC and ran off. Wasp still on passive..
At this point I needed a new wasp, repeat of the first three steps in the above process.
This time after it defensive killed the first imp, I found a new one and set my wasp to aggressive.
Just now was the first time murder wasps came out of my Corruptor, and they were passive. Character id 15585. On mobile without NT. It could be related to being in a faction or not.
Don't like someone but can't be bothered to do the dirty work yourself? Hire RED!
Want something but can't be bothered making it yourself? Buy from PIMCO!
The issue was factionlessness; an Aggressive to non-Allies pet may be Aggressive to non-Allies under the hood in the database, but to a factionless character that displays as Passive and functionally is passive, because who does it target with no politics?
This will be fixed in the next patch - wasps will come in as Aggressive if the Corruptor is factionless.
