Website Bug

I received a private message from "Anonymous" with the subject line "ACTION REQUIRED: STUDENTS". I cannot click on it, it says "private message could not be found".

The bug is that the website says I still have an unread private message.
old-school member been here since like September 2014, I finally got my original start date.

Got the notification too, I could see it in notifications page and mark it as read, but it links to nowhere (just like OP) and the "new PM" marker does not clear itself when I visit "private messages" page.

I suspect this is a bug in forum software's admin panel: when purging traces of a spammer (private messages etc) it does not update various UI counters and markers.

sigh...
Tested, the solution did not work, reading the PM did not reset the private messages counter.
I guess this will need a direct "hand of elder power" intervention in database.

I think a solution has been applied to this.
