Ghostwalk deactivated at the tick

I was hovering around and suddenly the status effect was gone and I wasted a bunch of AP walking around without realizing it. It happened at the tick.

Wiki says:

At each Game Tick, any character with the Hovering Status Effect loses 3 MP. If they cannot pay the MP cost, the character immediately lands.

I had lots of MP at the time so I assume it was a bug that it ended.
