I know there are specific abilities that presuppose the existence of separate planes of existence, but I would still like to propose NOT activating Elysium/Stygia/Purgatory to avoid dispersing the players.

In practice, we do have a lot of control over when we do these things. There’s a lot of cool outer planes content we want to share eventually, but there are faster and slower ways of getting there. Devside, there isn’t a specific timetable and we’re very much keeping our ears to the meta ground and basing the timing on what feels right.
Feedback like this is important, so thank you. Tempest Straits is functionally the largest plane in the history of Nexus Clash, and players could explore and fight over it for quite some time.

It would be interesting to have strongholds and raiding pre-outer planes. Keep things naughtical.

I have to agree with the original post. It is increasingly difficult to find people to attack, especially if one is an angel and doesn't want to attack Goods and Neutrals. Search 10 or 12 buildings to find someone hiding - and oops, it's a Good mortal.
I would also suggest making it easier to move from one part of the world to another. For those of us without wings, it can take all our AP to get back where we started, or more if we land, say, in the far southeast and want to be in the northwest. This world is very large and travel between areas is mostly slow and difficult.

Counterpoint: My alts perish on a fairly regular basis, regardless of morality and defenses. And while it does indeed pose a challenge to locate suitable individuals for healing, targets for smiting righteously/murdering most gruesomely are more or less easy to come by. If the focus lies purely on combat, then I concur advancement may prove tiresome. Sprinkling in a bit of reading, crafting or carpenting speeds up the process considerably.
That said, locomotion does indeed seem frustratingly haphazard, what with bears and krakens roaming about, not to mention the odd feral undead or ill-mannered demon. Fate seems delighted in presenting deserted islands to my mortals in increasing frequency…

Engineering has proved the most reliable source of consistent EXP, at least for my non-caster (and thus, non-Alchemy) characters. Even the ones with Repair Item still picked up Engineering, because there are just times when it's easier and more practical to turn the lightswitch on and off repeatedly over trying to actually find someone at T2.
I'll also note that animals might be worth half EXP, but half EXP is still EXP. My IB, Paladin, and even Wyrm Master isn't shy about running up and beating but the random Shark, Desert Wolf, or even Bear since they're easily available targets. I'm not sure that I'd recommend that for someone who doesn't have good armor or some method of healing (Myrmidon might have trouble) but that can keep the EXP flowing and keep producing Blood Ice/Soul Ice for healing/alchemy, respectively, on Defilers.

We're probably going a little off topic, but since we're here... I too am heavily abusing the new mechanic where you can unplug and plug the power back indefinitely on the same location. This is excellent for me as I have multiple characters and for some the cognitive effort is thus eliminated. For a newcomer I would say it is a very unfun mechanic that should NOT be encouraged. For what my 2 cents are worth, I'd go back to the way
Engineering was before.

I agree that the world already feels empty. There's not enough of us for a map this big. Activating outer planes would mean there's even less of us. I'd prefer for it to stay the way things are for longer.

Maybe the Outer Planes could bleed through, then. Slowly they could manifest their subtle influence in the furthest (highest, remotest) corners of the world in myriad ways…
Just a thought.

That actually sounds like a cool idea and would mean there's no player loss
