Infusion/Zerg

Infusion/Zerg

So I’m trying to infuse a tile for our SH but I keep getting a Zerg flag saying my other char has recently infused the area. I checked the tile infusion history but none of my alt infused it.

Im almost sure I only have one char that can actually infuse. So I just want to know if there is like a limit to neighbourhoods that can be infused, since I noticed I get infusion points from cutting/repairing power and I do have another alt doing that, but since I have no idea we’re they are in relation to each other it’s a bit of a mystery.

Could it be there’s some infusion bug maybe triggering the Zerg?

If a character did something which granted EXP on the tile, then they could passively infuse it. The infusion is 1/10th the EXP gained, so 1 for a lot of non-combat situations. Every character has the potential to infuse, outside Lv.9 Mortals and lower.

From what I recall on Psychometry, there's a limit to how many actions you could see in the past, so even just a few characters taking actions on the tile (like combat or turning power on/off repeatedly) can push actions from just earlier that day off the list. To say nothing about actions from earlier that week.

So, if I understand correctly, you were paraphrasing the old idiom „don‘t turn off the power where you, in any other body, poop“?
a pink cocker spaniel, really an oddly colored canine
a scrawny kid in a hero costume, making a difference
Brother Fugue, hard to recall even on a good day
Opher Foxaches, malarky done right
Quinn Tessance, an outlaw with a touch of whimsy
the Butch West India Company man, real gentlemen never go out of style

I literally can't infuse anywhere around the stronghold without tripping the zerg flag.

There's 2 types of infusion: Active Infusion and Passive Infusion

Passive infusion happens any time you earn XP. You cause 1 point of infusion for every 10XP you earn, rounded to nearest 10.
1-4XP = 0 Infusion
5-14XP = 1 Infusion
15-24XP = 2 Infusion
etc

Active infusion happens with the Infuse skill where you directly translate your AP and MP into infusion. But, the restriction is that you cannot do active infusion in a neighborhood where any of your alts have done any infusion (active or passive) for the past 2 days (I think it's 2 days, but not 100% sure). Neighborhoods are big, so this is easy to accidentally trigger.

Most players avoid active infusion, and this is a big part of the reason why. If you do want to do active infusion, best to keep all your other characters really far away.

The biggest problem though is everyone spent several weeks all over the map killing, dying, turning power on and off, so there are passive infusions all over the place. It's making active infusions very, very difficult.

Will all the passive infusions eventually wear off?
