Everything Begins and Ends With Red

I arrived from a mysterious portal to a familiar, yet different realm. It closed behind me, as if the world itself sought to claim me. Desolate, quiet, but exquisitely eery. Screams of pain, combat, survival, and glory occasionally echo throughout. A realm with no societal constraints. A blank slate in which the only paint is the crimson elixir that fuels all. Perhaps this is what I've been looking for? The very notion is intoxicating. No longer will I be held back by my inferiors. They could never understand me. They thought me savage and insane. They were blind to the possibilities, but now, untethered from them, I pursue something greater, something delightful, something...red.

I've spent these last few days how one would reasonably begin in unknown territory, reading. It's been rather uneventful, until today. I found a bottle of red. Upon closer inspection, what it was is umistakable, blood! However, it also smelled of alcohol. Someone had created wine from life itself! I could not resist! I drank the entire bottle. As I lay here, immersed in the consequences of my voraciousness, I was accosted by a large, leathery, winged creature. Its sharp claws pierced my flesh, but I felt nothing. I watched as the blood drained from my body, a grin on my face as the darkness claimed me... To my surprise, I found myself returned to life. Any signs of my intoxication and subsequent evisceration were nowhere to be found. Not only that, but my possessions remain with me. This has been a most enlightening and exhilerating experience! To not only know the cold embrace of death, but to return and remember it is something previously thought to be impossible! This bodes well for me, a dream I could not fathom before. What delights await me and those who will inevitably experience my pursuits?

I continue to peruse the writings of those long past. Those too weak of mind, body, and spirit to have survived whatever event(s) that transformed what must've been as dull and restrictive as my former home into this wonderous chaos. While I slept, I was accosted by what appeared to be a Spinosaurus, a real dinosaur! Surely, this is just a sample of what this realm has to offer! Curiously, it not only left me alive, but also a gift in the form of a Crimson Renaissance Gown? It's motives are a mystery to me, but this is precisely the sort of excitement I could never hope to experience before! If only those fools could see what I've seen...[
