Fred found a miscreant and attempted an arrest:
- You say, "My word! You HAVE learned the Advanced Thrown Weapons skill! How delightful! How unexpected! Shamefully, I must admit that I have NOT learned Advanced Thrown Weapons." (2024-09-13 15:54:36).
- You say, "I regret that I must arrest myself. I expect that I will resist arrest, and some collateral damage may ensue. My apologies, if so." (2024-09-13 15:55:12).
- You take a moment to concentrate your inner hatred; suddenly, with great violence, your mortal shell explodes, spewing hatred and hellfire everywhere. Your attack affected 1 characters and/or pets. Total damage done was 13, total effective soaks were 0, total ignored soaks were 0, and total applied soaks were 0. (2024-09-13 15:55:21).
Fred resisted arrest, resulting in the well-deserved death of Fred. Fred has fond memories of explosively arresting Fred in a crowded hospital, back in the day, just saying, so if you all would care to congregate in a Convenient Hospital, preferably without any soak of any kind, Fred would be pleased to demonstrate the Good Old Days.

I celebrate the Skillz Police first Accidental Explosive Murder. Yes, indeed, just like the good old days, the Explosive Murder button is just a quick mis-click away from the other combat buttons. Whee! Boom!

Fred Dullard has earned the Herd Thinner badge!
Not that this is a rare achievement, but Fred would like to point out that pets do not have the Advanced Thrown Weapons skill.

Anima said, "I have a message from the Good Powers: "This is for lacking Advanced Thrown Weapons"" (2024-12-31 14:21:12)
... combat spam
Anima touched you with a softly glowing hand. You feel his virtue eat at your dark soul and this metaphysical battle takes a physical form as pale blue flames surround you. You will be unable to hide or become invisible until the illumination stops! They also hit for 21 points of holy damage. This was enough to kill you! (2024-12-31 14:30:16)
Alas, poor Fred, but fair is fair, Fred has never taken any form of Thrown Weapons skill, let alone Advanced Thrown Weapons. On the other hand, I guess the illumination has stopped, and Fred is super invisibly dead.

Isn't that nice? The Good Powers agree. Advanced Thrown Weapons!

Fred is reviving the Campaign for Advanced Door Skills. According to a rigorously designed sampling program (he looked at a door once), it appears that doors have not been taking the Advanced Thrown Weapons skill. Beware, says Fred!
You attack the door with your Bow of Frostbite, dealing 23 points of damage. The door gives way and breaks off its hinges. (2025-01-07 22:22:04)
You say, "This door DID NOT take the advanced thrown weapons skill. You see what happens as a result. Don't let this be you! Do not break off your own hinges." (2025-01-07 22:22:57)

Dear Sir, you got the attention of our misfit family. Upon consideration, most of us would benefit from learning ATW.

Here are our meeting notes, in case you are interested:
Badziew The Eccentric
build: wandering petmaster, sometimes plinking NPCs with innate bow
conclusion: DOABLE
details: the bow goes out, replaced by ATW

Tiger Fist - Daemon of Brawl
build: HtH specialist
conclusion: IMPOSSIBIRU
details: fully committed to HtH showmanship, not enough brain cells to learn unrelated skillz

Pilgrim The Wanderer
build: undecided wanderer
conclusion: DOABLE
details: never committed to any particular build, will gladly try something new

Sentient Spellbook
build: maaagiiic
conclusion: ALREADY DONE
details: already knows ATW as fallback option, sometimes trains on random targets

a trojan cat
build: wandering cat
conclusion: DOABLE
details: focused on HtH (because cat), but learning ATW will open more options to sow chaos
My characters (sorted by IDs): Badziew, Tiger Fist, Pilgrim, Sentient Spellbook, a trojan cat.
