Hex of Nullity interaction with Spell Capstone

so i've been casting spells killing people as the wizard of triangles (corruptor id=14953) and i recently bought the last death spell to get mastery, and i notice that the Soul Fray effect from the capstone was nullified with the attack text.
(note the same happens with cold's "chilled" capstone.)
And looking at HP totals ([REDACTED] had 77 HP= lvl 21 ES with healthy body and way of vim, but no stamina). its clear that Soul Fray applies on the last attack, but only after the effect wouldn't matter at all. This can't be intended. The only spells corruptors have only remove their own capstones.- You attack [REDACTED] with your Pallid Bolt spell and hit for 16 points of death damage. This attack also negated the Soul Fray status effect and replaced it with the Drained status effect for 10 status ticks. The attack weakened the barriers between the living world and the void! This attack also negated the Soul Fray status effect and replaced it with the Drained status effect for 10 status ticks. The attack weakened the barriers between the living world and the void! You gain 18 XP. (2026-01-17 20:48:46).

This attack also negated the Soul Fray status effect and replaced it with the Drained status effect for 10 status ticks. The attack weakened the barriers between the living world and the void!
