Emoji names "already in database"

Trying to start Breath 6 with a new character idea (DON'T STEAL)

The character's name -- a certain emoji. I've seen the 8-ball character in Breath 5, figured it would work. But, i get an error-- this character name is already in the database.

Fine, i can see that. İ try a string of 3 different emoji. Also told this name is already taken. Try them in a different order. Same.

This is impossible, what gives? Are emoji names actually forbidden? Did 🎱 get their name for credits? Are there other hoops?

Hey there! I think from the game logic perspective an emoji (any emoji) might be considered the same character, so there is a little fiddling that needs to happen to find one that sticks. Special characters are mostly okay to use in this context with exception to any characters that might disrupt the UI for other players, those should be already be explicitly disallowed for naming purposes.

If you think you've crafted a character name that is at least three characters long but it's giving you an issue while (re)naming, you can contact an admin or dev team member here on the forums or through Discord and we can see about double checking things and possibly getting it manually set with admin tools.

Thank you,
