Gameplay: Learning Spellcraft while dead takes CP and adds to skills list, but doesn't apply skill

I bought Spellcraft on a celestial cat while it was dead, went through confirmation and CP cost.
Gems in inventory were not revealed, nor on respawn or after logout/logging back in, so Spellcraft skill seems not to have applied.
Can see the option to buy Spellcraft again in the buy skills menu even though already on skill list.

Not a bug, you're at Neutral morality and thus can't use the skill, even though you can still buy skills.
