The tile I'm on has a Aethersprite Guide on it, exactly one, and it seems to say that I'm its master when I mouse over it.
I did have a Aethersprite Guide last life, but long since I have died, and so it should have been lost.

What's up with that?

You're an Advocate and you gave away the Guide via a lucky Blessing roll to someone else. You died, but that someone else is alive, possibly hidden.

The real bug here is that Guides granted via Advocate blessings list the Advocate who did the blessing as the master in the mouseover, even though the pet really belongs to the recipient. I've run into this too.

That's not a solution, but it's a more specific diagnosis of the cause.

There should be a lasting solution to this in the next patch.
