Unable to treat weapons with Oil of XXX

See attached screenshot. 2 spears in inventory, 1 is enchanted, 1 is normal. I am unable to treat either with Oil of Fire. Also 2 Hatchets in inventory, 1 enchanted, 1 normal, same issue:

Interesting to note that Pulsebolt Projector is a valid target.

Upon dropping the enchanted Hatchet I then get:

There's something very odd going on here.

Update: Can I suggest that whatever logic is used for selecting an attack weapon also be used when doing the drop down in other areas? And also the inventory stack? The weapon for attack dropdown does not appear to be affected in teh same way.
