Lamia knows GGE and recently got some GGE gems for 1mp casting. They are spell-variant spellgems.
Whenever I go to use these gems to attack glyphs I get the following error (below) stating that its not a weapon. Glyph is able to be knocked down using standard casts of GGE from memory.
I assume that the fact that it is a spell-variant gem for a known base-spell would still allow it to be used as a casting gem, at least I would hope so.
