Select one target in the area who is friendly or a faction-mate. When using Stepping of the Zone, add +5 MP to the cost* and the selected target is teleported along with you.
The Void Walker receives a status effect for X duration/ticks. Their soak is lowered to a maximum of 0 (can go under but can't go over 0 while under the status effect).
In addition, any damage the teleported target receives while VW's status effect is active, is also dealt to the VW as unsoakable damage. (If this part of the status effect is excessive then just keep the previous effect written above).
* 20 MP when stepping to Stygia, 25 MP when stepping to Valhalla and Purgatorio, 30 MP when stepping to Elysium.
So, what's the purpose? I initially wanted this to be a scary ability VW could use on enemies. Grab them out of the shadows and pull them into a nightmare dimension. Seems like a very VW thing to do. However after some pondering I realized this could be very problematic and unfun skill to be on the receiving end of. The VW could grab someone and teleport them into a petmaster's horde, or any prepared factionmate really. But then again if you're asleep and you get caught you're dead regardless of the means. So I'm not entirely sure about the potential combat aspect of this skill for the moment.
Anyway I then reworked my idea a bit and turned it into a more of a support/utility skill. The drawbacks (status effects) might be a bit excessive because they were originally a balance effort for the "abduct enemies" aspect of the skill. If teleporting a single ally doesn't feel that game-breaking then the status effects could be removed entirely. Feedback on this aspect will be appreciated.
