Bulk Enchanting Shock Spheres?

Post by Repinuj »

Ware the Hare is enchanting shock spheres with electric damage. There's a glitch where placing an enchantment on one supposedly enchants all the other spheres he's holding of the same enchantment level (according to the inventory).

The enchanting drop-down only lists one entry for all the grenades of a given enchantment level, as well. So if he has three +1 shock spheres, there's only one entry in the drop-down.

To clarify, previous AP cycle he had a bunch of shock spheres, a handful of which were enchanted to +1 electric. He'd enchant one to +2, and afterwards the inventory claimed all the enchanted spheres were +2. Then he enchants one of those to +3, and all enchanted spheres now say they're +3. This happens until they're all supposedly +5, when he's out of AP.

Next time, he starts enchanting the unenchanted shock spheres. After each, inventory claims the sphere is now +5, as it's grouped with the other +5 spheres.

He moves to a different font, and enchants one of the +5 grenades to +6. Now all the enchanted shock spheres are grouped together as +6 shock spheres.

Moves to another font, and enchants a few more unenchanted spheres. After each enchant, the inventory claims he has one more +6 shock sphere, and one less unenchanted sphere.

He noticed this issue before, but it was even more of a mess, presumably because of the now fixed grenade quality bug complicating things. He 'tested' some of his supposed +6 shock spheres then, and they were usually underwhelming. Not doing anything near the damage they should have (except once). He did not do a bug report at the time, and just kinda gave up on grenades.

In retrospect, this is probably the interface grouping them incorrectly, rather than enchantments being applied in multiples, or to multiple spheres. It does mean he can't actually enchant a shock sphere fully, except maybe if he only has one in his inventory. May test that later. Can't just drop them, since you don't see enchantment levels on the ground.

The 'Attack Area' drop-down does list the shock spheres separately. But it only says if they're enchanted; and doesn't give the enchantment level or enchanted damage.
