Further testing: My Dark Oppressor knows all fire spells plus GGE. He could not trigger spellgems. Removing all of his spells returned the ability to trigger spellgems. Adding spells back one by one did not trigger the bug until I added Greater Glyph Erasure, which did. The bug appears to be "c...

Further testing shows that spell type has something to do with it.
My Advocate knows Sixth Sense, Reveal, Death Mantle, Shadow Wrap and Sharp Vision, and has a Sharp Vision spellgem in her inventory. I revoked all these spells except Death Mantle, and suddenly spellgems were unusable.

I built a test character as a generic tricked-out high-level Doom Howler and could not reproduce the issue.
I reset the test character and rebuilt it as an exact copy of your build and could reproduce the issue.

Sure, it'll be lower in the next patch.
As noted on Discord, the fact that the cost of this skill was based on Augury reminds me that Augury isn't worth anything near what it costs, so it'll be lower in the next patch too.

Game Mechanics Players revisiting the same boss fight in a new Breath (e.g. the Pumpkin fight) should now be able to get badges and CP even if they had them in a past breath with the same boss. This also applies to the Champion of Malice "boss fight" badge. Breadfruit, Squash and Pumpkins...

The way this is coded means the whole function would have to be ripped out and replaced to have it be a toggle. Better to just not have the message if it's someone in your own faction doing the power toggling on your own stronghold.
